Today was our official first day back -- the big changes are adding Latin to our lessons and adding a new Kindergartner -- that means I have someone who needs my undivided attention for at least an hour, so she gets to start lessons before her sisters -- and then gets to go play -- and come back to hang out with us when we cover history, science or art.
Today my Little e did all her core lessons (phonics, math, reading, handwriting) as well as science with the big girls -- and did her Five in a Row unit study book of 'Night of the Moonjellies' which she REALLY liked. We've used that unit study for each of the girls in the K year, and it's always a hit.
M and R started 4th grade well -- just starting with math (a new harder book, but so far, so good) and learning cursive. I think today's favorite was our lesson in Latin.
And Big E started 7th grade -- with the math book of her nightmares -- but she did so well at it. I wish she didn't think she was bad at math -- I know she can do it!
